The Holidays

We have had a wonderful holiday season. Where to start. Christie, Maddox, Cavyn, and I went to Arizona in early November to go to Melissa and Erik's wedding. It was so much fun hanging out with them, and Nikki, and spending some quality time with my sister and nephew. Chris joined us the night before the wedding and the wedding was amazing. She was a beautiful bride, and he was a perfect groom for Melissa. The little boys had fun to swimming, playing, and being so surpised every morning they woke up next to their cousin.

Thanksgiving was okay. Cavyn and I had the flu for our family Thanksgiving, and then on Thanksgiving itself Chris had the flu. So to say the least we celebrated late with a few of our friends. It was fun. Ever since Thanksgiving we have been battling with winter colds, and flu's. Cavyn got RSV of course and has been coughing and sick for at least a month now. He is on the recovering side and doing so much better. I got to see a high school friend and her kids one day with Cavyn and it was so much fun catching up with Alica and meeting her babies.

My nephews birthday was on the 13th of December and we got to celebrate two parties for him. One with family and one with all of his friends. They both were really special and we had so much fun. Cavyn loves a good birthday party especailly the cake part. He tried to steal Leo's piece of cake which I thought was pretty funny.

Christmas was amazing. On Christmas eve we went over to my parents house and had a perfect dinner with my family followed by fun presents and just relaxing and eating yummy deserts. Cavyn got so great toys and clothes, Chris got gift cards and a ski pass, and I got a Coach purse, some house hold stuff, and a bread maker. I never knew how much fun it was to make bread. I love it. Thank you everyone for the gifts and cards.

Now we are getting ready for the New Year. I can't believe that 2009 is already over. SO much has gone on this year its hard to believe its just been a year. We have many hopes and dreams for 2010 but the most important is that we are healthy and happy. We pray that our family and friends are too.

Fall Fun

Fall has been verybusy for us. After Cavyn's birthday we have been chasing him around with all of his new wonderful things. Jessica came into town on my birthday and we had so much fun shopping at Flatirons. Then Chris took me out to dinner in Denver at 1515 which was a really good place, plus he throw me a special party at my brother's house. It was great to spend the evening with my close friends and family. There was a fire in Estes Park right by where the Wheel is so that was pretty scary.
Cavyn decided to be a lion for Halloween and he pulled off the custome great. He had so much fun trick or treating and got the point of getting candy at every door. he would hide his face and put out his basket to get something.

He also carved a pumpkin with chris one night and we had so much fun doing that.

He favorite thing this fall so far is to destroy all the fall decorations and make sure they are where he wants them all over the floor.

When it snowed him and Chris had fun in the snow but it was to cold so we had to bring in a pan full of snow for them to play in. He would sit by his bucket and eat the snow then run around like a mad man and come back and do it all over again. Other things that are happening is Cavyn was in tumbling for six weeks and had so much fun. He loved every second of it and was very popular with the girls in his class. He is growing up so fast I can't believe it. We are heading to Arizona this week for my friend Melissa's wedding so we will update then

Well our summer is over and Cavyn's birthday was the last of our summer. He has an amazing birthday starting out by opening his presents from mommy and daddy and his grandma Nelson. He loved his tools, and his doctor kit, and his cell phone, and mostly his BROOM. yes that is right our son is just like his mommy and daddy and loves to clean. He runs around everywhere now trying to sweep, its great I hope this love stays. Anyways then we starting getting ready for his party and went to Spring Canyon Park and had a great party, where all our friends showed up and ate, played at the playground, open presents, ate cake, and the men played football. Cavyn loved his cake and all his presents. He was mister social and walked around and talked with everyone and played with all his friends. We got great presents thank you everyone.

getting so big

Cavyn and Maddox
Cavyn and Gage

Cavyn at the park having wind blow in his face

His play room

Well let me just say that after surgery Cavyn just bursted into a huge milestone. He started crawling not long after surgery, then started pulling himself up on things. He is saying "all done" "bye bye" "oopps" "dada" and pretty much everything thing except momma. He also shakes his head no. He is everywhere and discovering new things every second. He now eats "regular" food meaning he shares dinner with us and loves to eat everything we eat. It makes him feel like a big kid and he loves that. Cavyn has gotten to play with Gage one of his friends and starting next week he will go there three days a week to play while I go to work. Working is getting to hard with him when he just wants to crawl around and the bar is just not a great place for that.

Cavyn's hair is getting longer everyday too which is awesome knowing that I never dreamt that I would have a bald baby, but his hair is coming in dark blond just like daddy's. speaking of daddy Cavyn's favorite person in the world is daddy. The glow they both get when they see each other is amazing. Everything now is going so fast, I can't believe he is going to be one soon. What happened to my blob baby?

Surgery

Right after surgery when he still is not awake
Right before surgery

In Grandma's pool splashing around.

On May 20th we took Cavyn down to Children Hospital in Denver at 7am to have surgery. He got an Orchiopexy which is a procedure done to bring down his undesended testicle. It can be bad if the testicles don't come down before the age of one so we need to get it done. the surgery was only an hour long and not to bad. they had to cut him in two different spots and one is where no man ever wants to be cut. The sad part for me was he was in there without Chris or myself, they put a tube down his throat, and he was out completey. But he was a trooper and came out ok. I think it hurt Chris and me a lot more then him. The rest of the day we all slept at home and the next day while Chris and I was spent Cavyn was all over the place, happy, and playful. Thats a great thing about kids they recover fast.

Well the day before surgery we spent the night at my mom and dad's house. Cavyn got to go swimming in Grandma little hippo pool.

Sorry, I know I am horrible at this blog thing. But Cavyn is now seven and a half months, and I never have time to do anything. Actually as I am trying to do this he is reaching for the computer. Well in late March Chris's sister Kristi came out and the four of us (Cavyn, Chris, Kristi, and Me) went to Copper and Black Hawk for a few days. It was great it snowed the whole time so the snow was good for Chris to go boarding. Kristi, Cavyn, and I went shopping, relaxed, and just had a blast. We had resort daycare one evening so that the three adults could go tubing, eat dinner, and hot tub. It was great. Cavyn and Aunt Kristi NelsonOn our Vacation in Copper Cavyn even tried his first pickles which he loved as you can see

Also in April Melissa Mendel came out to see us from Tucson. Melissa is my best friend since I was ten. We had a great time with her and Cavyn loved her so much. Easter was a lot of fun during that time and Cavyn and his cousins got the coolest shades from the Easter bunny.

Cousins and their Easter outfits

Coolest shades ever..

Well and now we are trying to get back to our normal routine. Cavyn goes to Grandma and Grandpa Glorioso's on Sundays while I bartend and they love it. Uncle Tom babysat last Tuesday while I went to school and I think it was great for both of them. Cavyn is now saying DADA which made me sad but Chris was on cloud nine, and had the biggest smile for like four days. Cavyn is also eating eat, and doing sooo much. He is not crawling yet, which is fine with me but I am excited for it to come. Cavyn had a friend that was born last Friday April 24, 2009 in Utah named Shelby, her mom is one of my best friend's Jessica and I went to high school with both her mom and dad so Congrats Jessica and Travis. Also my cousin's baby Adrian celebrated his first birthday on May 1st, its sad he is already one!

Update

Cavyn keeps me so busy all the time now. People always say that the baby is the hardest in the first couple months but I totally think the older he gets the harder it gets too, but it is always so much fun. I try to take Cavyn to the park a lot during the weeks even though he is only5 1/2 months but if I get into the pattern now it will stick plus he has fun on the swings and in the sand. We went to the park on Chris's birthday and all three of us had a great time.

We also had another mom's group and Cavyn had so much fun playing with all the other babies. He even rolled over and laid his head in Leah's lap for awhile it was tooo cute. He is getting really good at sitting up and his three favorite times of the day now are first thing in the morning when he gets daddy's tickles, eating dinner, and taking a bath.
His two cousins Maddox and Adrian keep him busying watching Adrian crawl around and babble and making sure Maddox is okay. He is already protective over Maddox which is cute. It crazy how every day is the same routine but so different in everything that Cavyn does. Chris and I are so blessed to have such a great son
Cavyn is still a drool man and loves to suck on his feet which both things are cute but really gross. We also have a NEW nephew/cousin who is named Aidan River, he is my cousin Ashley's baby. He was born at 28weeks and is in Children's Hospital doing great for being a little guy.

First day at the Park

Well I find it harder and harder to get time to do anything anymore. Take a bath, nap, do my nails or anything, but finally Cavyn is asleep and I can take a rest and instead i will update you all on what we have been doing. Cavyn is now eating baby food and LOVES his veggies... He is also rolling over so well now and gets around by pushing himself on his back... It is sooo cute. We went to the park today for the first time with our cousin Adrian and Cavyn loved the swing.
A couple Thursdays ago Chris, Cavyn and I went up to Copper so that Chris could go snowboarding and Cavyn had a great time watching daddy and wearing his gear.
The goggles were by far my favorite though... Cavyn also got to meet his great grandparents for Wisconson and loved evey minute that he got to spend with them. We are soo thankful that they got to come out and see us. Below is a picture of the four generations of boys on the Glorioso side. We have Great Grandpa Glorioso, Grandpa Glorioso(my dad), Uncle Tom (my brother), and Cavyn and cousin Maddox. Looks to me like they all have the same look.. hahaha those boys. well i must go now but i will try and update soon.

Cousin Maddox and Cavyn

HE looks sooo much like daddy

Catching Up

A lot has happened lately. Cavyn is getting sooo big, he is weighing about 14pounds now and it seems like everyday he is doing something new and wonderful. Today for example we were at my sisters house and a couple of her friends were there with their babies and Cavyn sat himself up to play with one of the little girls shoes on her feet. It was amazing to see my son do that. He knows now that he has hands and love to chew on them, he is teething which is not fun, and he loves to smile, laughing and here me sing. I don't know if me singing soothes him cuz I cant see how it could or if he just stops crying because he knows i will stop if he stops. hahaha.

Christmas was awesome too. We went over to my parents house christmas eve and enjoyed an amazing dinner with my family and our new addition Maddox. We got way to many presents and then got home late. Cavyn knew it was Christmas morning and even at the age of three months woke up way to early and way to excited. We spend christmas day at our house with Chris's parents ate breakfast, opened presents, ate dinner, and played cards. It was nice and relaxing.

On New years Eve Chris and I had a party with some of our neighbors, and Chris's co-workers. Cavyn slept through the whole party which was nice and everyone seems to have a great time.

Yesterday Jan-02-09 we went to the Denver Zoo to see the Christmas lights at night with Heather and Jim and their two kids. they are our neighbors who we have become pretty good friends with. The lights were great and the three kids enjoyed themselves. After walking around for about and hour and half we went to dinner off sixtenth street in Denver at an Italian resturant and then headed home getting there at one am. But it was fun and worth it.
