baby Maddox

I have not written in soooo long. Cavyn is doing great. He got baptized on November 20th, he is starting to get two teeth, and he is growing like a bug. He has three new friends that were born first was Gage Burke who is my friend Jamie's baby who was born on November 20th, then Leo Balduzzi who is Rachel's baby was December 1st, and then finally our best friend Maddox Nagl who is my nephew and he was born today December 13th. He is perfect, and great. He was four weeks early but weighs 6lb 8oz. I will post a picture as soon as possible.

I know I haven't posted anything in four weeks and I am sorry. I have been really busy. The last month has been really exciting. My birthday was exciting Chris, Cavyn, and I laid in bed all day and then went to dinner at P.F. Changs which Cavyn slept through. I actually couldn't have asked for a better birthday it was so relaxing. Chris went hunting for two days in Craig with his parents. As much as i love eating elk meat and not having to buy beef I was somewhat on Bambi's side and hoping they didn't get anything, which they didn't. Of course I caught a nasty cold the day he left which made getting up with Cavyn at night harder.

For Halloween we had my parents babysit and Chris and I dressed up and went to a few parties for a couple hours. It was fun to get out but didn't think the parties were the best not a lot of people there. The next night we went to 80's prom at the Wheel bar (where i work) and dressed up all 80's like and enjoyed prom together with Cavyn sleeping the whole time. I guess it doesn't seem like a lot of stuff went on when i write it down but it sure felt like it.

Week Two

So week one of being a parent is under our belts, We are almost through week two and it seems that Cavyn is getting quite a personality. He loves to sleep, poop, EAT, smile, and getting grouchy when he wakes himself up in the middle of the night. Wow now that i write all this down not only does he look like his dad but has the same lifestyle and personality. hahaha, oh my family. Yesterday we went to Estes to go to the doctor for Cavyn's first visit. He now weights 7lb 12oz and he grew an inch to 20inches. Other then that the doctor said that he was perfect and we are blessed to have such a cute baby. We already knew that though. After the doctor we ate at my mom and brothers cafe with My sister Christie and Ty, Steve and Gay (Ty's parents) also joined in late. We ate way to much but how can you not when it is such freaken good food. After lunch Chris, Cavyn, and I went into the National Park something we never do even though we live so close. We drove around looking at the elk boogling, and gathering their herds for mating, and we looked at all the tree's changing for the fall. It was a lot of fun. I learned a lot about what happens when Chris's goes hunting and it is something I will never be interested in attending with him. I am know so sad that I actually eat the meat he comes home with. They turn into savages out there. hahaha. His excuse is that him hunting feeds us his family, which is true but its still really sad. After the drive we went to Chrisitie and Ty's house before coming home where I took a nap and Chris and the baby watched the history channel. We sound so old right there. we went on a drive and came back to nap and watch the history channel. What happened to us.... hahahaha. This makes it even worse. When we actually got to our house we put the baby down for bed, watered the grass and sat outside and talked, then played a game of chess, and went to bed. I swear we are in our twenty's not our sixty's. Anyways week two is turning out awesome

CAVYN JETT NELSON

Well on September 18th Chris and I went to the doctor and found out that we are going to get induced. So around one o'clock we arrived at the hospital and got settled into our room. Around two o'clock they started to induce me with pitocin. It really wasn't the way I really wanted to go into labor but i was ready to have my baby and not be pregnant anymore. The whole experience was so awesome and something that I just think is the best miracle out there. There was a ton of people that came to share the day with chris and I. My mom, sister, brother-in-law, cousin, her son, Chris's parents, my brother, sister-in-law, Chris's friends Charlie, Ricky, and Nick, all were there. Now when i was actually in the pushing stages of labor it was just Chris, my mom and of course me in the room. Cavyn was born on September 19th at 2.24am. I did end up getting an epidural, which I may say was a life saver and I recommend them to everything. hahaha. anyways my son is perfect to me and I can't believe how much I love him. You can try to imagine how much you will love your kids but when they are actually here it is more then you could ever imagine. He is funny, handsome, and doesn't cry to much, he is also a great sleeper. here are a couple of pictures of him when he is a few days old.

Full Moon Party

Tonight I went to a full moon party which one of my neighbors was throwing. It was just a bunch of people from around the neighborhood and some of their friends. Jason (neighbor who held the party) is in a band and knows a lot of people in bands apparently. So they set up stuff and there were different bands playing. It was really fun and neat. I got to meet some neighbors which was nice because right now Chris and I only know the Booths who live right up from us. We hang out with them nearly every night. I met a lot of people which was nice but I sat for a while and talked to Jason's wife for a while about non-profit organizations and adoptions. It was really neat to hear all of her stories and things she knew about this and I could relate giving her stories about International Medical Relief which was a non-profit organization that i used to be involved with the family who ran and owned it as their nanny. I know a lot about the organization because of working for them and am trying to take a trip in a couple years with them. Anyways Talking with her really made me realize that there is so much more that i could be doing and so much that other people could do that don't I really want to get more involved in non-profit organizations and charities for children in different countries and in the U.S. If anyone has an ideas of good organizations tell me....

So I got some pictures taken of me being pregnant. It was fun and kinda silly. MY stomach looks HUGE!!!! if you know me you will understand that it was hard not to laugh the entire time i was doing this. I had to look dreamy, and like I was in deep thought. hahahaha right.well This was the day of my baby shower so I was about 34 and 1/2 weeks along. One of these days this little man will be born.

On other news I found out yesterday that I will be having a nephew. My sister is having a boy!!!! how exciting. I think everyone I know is having or has had boys this year.I am really excited for them, and I can't wait to have a nephew.

Chris took me on a date last Thurs, and I had no idea what we were doing or anything. It was so nerve racking. We went to my parents house to drop Ringo off for a play date with Rocky and Boo, and then ate peanut butter, swiss cheese, cheeto, and bannana sandwhichs his creation and he made me eate them. The baby loved it and was kicking like crazy. then he drove us to Denver and we walked 16th street to do some shopping. It was nice to get a little tan. Then when i thought we were going to leave he kept walking and we ended up at the Rockies game, which to me was awesome cuz I love to go to baseball games. He hates th sport so it made it more special that he thought about what I liked and not only himself. After the game we decided to go home and on the way home we ate at Lone star and got some steak. It was yummy. We got home at 8pm and both were really tired and fell asleep right away for the whole night. It was an awesome date and I just love this boy so much. My surprise date is this Thurs and I am lost at what to do. My first plan i think is falling through. HELP!!!!! i will get pictures up of the Rockies Game

10. Who cooks more? I do normally but the more pregnant i get the more he won't let me do anything and he cooks and cleans

19. How did you meet?He sat next to me in one of our classes and invited me to a party. i never went but a few weeks later texted him for some reason. it took a while until we actually hung out

21. Who kissed who first? HE kissed me. we went on a walk in a park next to my parents house and near the end of the three hour walk he throw me to the ground and gave me a kiss. it was funny.

Nothing To exciting

Nothing Much has happened this week. I think or want to believe that my belly has finally gotten to its peak point and can't possibly grow any more then it is right now, which i think it huge and anyone who knows me but smalller then some other people I have seen. This week I got to go swimming with my sister, Ty, and my sister in law Melissa in Longmont and it was a blast. Going down the water slide was adventurous and watching my brother in law go off the driving board was great. I also went shopping with my friend Jamie who is six months pregnant at Fort Collins Mall and we both found clothes to buy and talked a lot of baby. Other then that it was a normal week of work, birthing class, and sleep (or lack there of).

Pre-Labor

What a week I have had, last Saturday night I started getting contractions and they were quick painful. So Chris, Zach (Chris's cousin who was staying with us for the week), and I drove down to the hospital. I went to Birthing center and got put on monitors and found out yes I was definitally having contractions. So they gave me medicine that was suppose to help stop them, but it only seem to make me feel ill. So I was examined by the doctor and found out the babys head was really low and that I was starting to diolate. So they gave me another medicine to stop everything and I ended up having to stay the night. Even though it hurt badly, and well all slept really uncomfortably, the next morning i was release on bed rest partly and medicine to take at home. Well again today i ended up back in the hospital because on contractions but luckly got released shortly after being told that i could possibly have contractions for the next two months until little Cavyn is ready to actually come. what i thrill. I love being pregnant don't get me wrong I am just ready to see my little son and hold me and not have contractions. I am excited and in pain. Its a happy sad feeling.

Birthing Classes

Tonight we Had our first Birthing Class in Fort Collins at the Womens Clinic. There is eight other couples in the class with us and we are definitally the youngest couple there and Cavyn is the soonest to be born out of the group. But other then that everyone was really nice and the teacher seems to be really good so far. In tonights class we went over a lot of terms and what was going to happen and stages of labor. Truthfully it was a bit frightening but the thing that I keep thinking is no matter how scary it is, the day will come and there is nothing I can do about it. Other then the birthing class nothing is to new. Chris's cousin is in town and staying with us for a couple weeks from Missouri, and they seem to play xbox all the time. Boys!!! I will hopefully put more pictures up before he comes so you can all see my extremely huge belly. by the way my due date is September 20th.

My First Blog

Christie, Ty, Tom, and Melissa all came over for dinner last night to see Chris and my new place up at Horsetooth Lake. It was a lot of fun. We ate dinner and the girls tried to beat the boys in Battle of the Sex's but of course lost. I think the game was made by a male because the questions are really hard for the girls and really easy for the boys. It was the first time in a really long time we all got to hang out because of all of our busy schedules and it was a great night. It ended pretty late for us pregnant girls but thankfully I got to sleep in this morning.
